Return Policy

We want every customer to shop with confidence. The information below outlines how returns, condition requirements, and refund eligibility are handled.

Exchanges

At this time, we do not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different item, please return your original purchase and place a new order. All return conditions below must be met for a refund to be issued.

Standard Refund Policy

You may return any new, unused, and unaltered item within:

  • 30 days of receiving your order, or
  • January 31 if eligible for the holiday extension above.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

Shipping charges, duties, taxes, and brokerage fees are non-refundable.

No Restock Fees

  • We do not charge any restocking fees on eligible returns.

Processing Times

  • Returns are inspected within 48 hours of arrival.
  • Refunds may take 2-10 business days to post depending on your financial institution.
  • In-store returns process in 3-5 business days

Holiday Return Extension (November - December Purchases)

To make holiday shopping easier:

  • Items purchased between November 1 and December 24 may be returned through January 31st of the following year, provided they meet all return condition requirements.
  • Items purchased on or after December 25 follow our standard 30-day return window.

All other return requirements, exclusions, and inspection standards still apply.

In-Store / Dealership Returns (Retail Purchases)

Retail store returns must meet all of the same condition requirements as online returns.

The following additional dealership-specific terms apply:

Vehicles, Powersports Products

  • Generators, motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, golf carts, e-bikes and any motorized or electric vehicles are excluded from this return policy.
  • These items are non-returnable and non-refundable, and have no cooling-off period, unless specifically required by state or federal law.

F&I Products / Protection Plans

Protection services and products sold through Finance & Insurance (F&I) are not covered under this return policy.

They may only be cancelled or refunded according to the terms and conditions of the signed contract.

Gift Cards (Purchased With Cash or Credit Card)

  • Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be returned for cash.
  • Aany remaining balance under $10 may be redeemed for cash upon customer request.
  • Gift cards do not expire, and no service or inactivity fees apply.

Store Credit / Merchandise Credit

  • Store credit issued for returns or customer accommodations is not refundable.
  • Store credit has no cash value and may only be used toward future purchases.

Promotional Gift Cards, Bonus Cards, and Free Value Offers

  • Promotional gift cards or value issued as part of a sale, rebate, coupon program, package promotion, or “free gift card with purchase” offer are not redeemable for cash.
  • $10 cash-out rule does not apply to promotional or complimentary cards.
  • Expiration dates may apply

Rewards Points / Loyalty Points

  • Points have no cash value.
  • Points cannot be exchanged, refunded, transferred, or redeemed for cash.
  • Lost or expired points cannot be reinstated.

Return Shipping Options

For customers in the contiguous U.S.

  • $9.99 prepaid label for standard items
  • $15.99 prepaid label for tires and oversized items
  • The customer is responsible for getting the item back to our warehouse.

If you prefer, you may ship the item yourself using a carrier with tracking and insurance. The customer is responsible for returning the item to our warehouse.

Order Cancellation / Modifications

We will make every effort to cancel or modify your order before it enters processing.  Once processing has begun, the order cannot be changed or cancelled.

If your order cannot be cancelled, you may return it using our standard return process. To cancel your order, click here.

Reporting Damage, Defects, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must notify us within 10 days of delivery.

Please contact us with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Photos of the item, packaging, and shipping box

Reports made after 10 days may not be eligible for replacement, refund, or credit. For carrier-damaged shipments, contact us immediately at 1-800-841-2960 so we can file a claim and correct the issue.

Incorrect, Used, or Damaged Merchandise Returned to Us

Items cannot be returned if they show any of the following:

  • Wear, installation marks, scuffs, bug impacts, scratches
  • Makeup, deodorant, food, oil, grease, wine, or other stains
  • Dirt, dust, pet hair, or odors (smoke, fragrance, sweat, etc.)
  • Removed, cut, altered, or reattached tags
  • Damaged or missing original packaging
  • Missing hardware, manuals, or accessories
  • Alteration, misuse, or intentional damage
  • Tire bead damage or signs of attempted mounting

Any used or out-of-policy item will be returned to the customer or processed under internal disposal procedures.

Return Denials

Your return will be denied if:

  • The item does not meet new and unused condition requirements
  • Packaging is missing or not in resalable condition
  • Accessories or components are missing
  • There are signs of use, wear, installation, or intentional damage

If a return is denied:

  • No refund will be issued
  • The item may be returned to you at your expense
  • Photos and a clear explanation will be provided
  • If you decline return shipping, the item will be processed under internal disposal procedures

Partial Refunds

A partial refund may be offered only when:

  • The item can be resold as "open box"

Partial refunds are not available for:

  • Apparel or helmets
  • Items with hygiene considerations
  • Electronics with broken seals

Partial refunds are discretionary and not guaranteed.

Return Abuse Policy

To protect customers and the integrity of our return process, ChapMoto monitors return patterns for misuse, such as:

  • Repeated returns of used or damaged items
  • Altered or intentionally damaged products submitted as new
  • Excessive or fraudulent return activity
  • Misrepresentation of item condition

ChapMoto reserves the right to:

  • Deny current or future returns
  • Restrict return privileges
  • Suspend or close customer accounts
  • Refuse service to accounts exhibiting abuse

Warranty Product

Manufacturers maintain their own warranty policies. ChapMoto.com assists with submitting warranty claims but does not provide direct warranty coverage.

  • Customers are responsible for shipping warranty items to our facility
  • Items denied by the manufacturer will be returned to the customer

Return Restrictions & Exclusions

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Acid-filled batteries
  • Opened electrical or electronic items
  • OEM / aftermarket ignition components (coils, stators, CDI)
  • Any part with installation or attempted installation marks
  • Chemicals or tools with broken seals
  • Tires showing mounting or bead damage

Marketplace Purchases (Amazon, eBay, Walmart)

Marketplace orders must follow the return procedures of that specific platform. ChapMoto.com's return policy does not apply to marketplace purchases.

Please initiate returns directly through your Amazon, eBay, or Walmart account.
