Thank you for your inquiry Kyle. This Pro Honda GN4 10W30 Oil would work for warmer weather, but your 2007 Honda crf150f calls for 10w-40 oil for normal weather conditions. This would be the best bet for your bike:

I have a 2019 CRF 450 L. The manual recommends Honda GN 4. No mention is made of HP4S. There must be a reason for this. Do you know what it is?

Thank you for your inquiry Ron. Nice bike! We are In Love with the new 2019 CRF 450 L. You are correct in the fact that the manual recommends Honda GN4. motor oil. Honda's GN4 Pro Honda Oil is made of the highest quality base stocks and they then add an additive package specifically designed for the unique requirements of their motorcycle and ATV engines. GN4 has even better shear resistance, viscosity stability and cleanliness to meet the requirements and stresses of a new era of engine technology. Now as per your question as to why your Manual Makes No Mention of their HP4S? The standard GN4 meets all of the requirements for your bike and if changed at the recommended intervals, the Synthetic is not "needed." This allows Honda to keep a "lower cost of maintenance" than some other bikes which "require" a full synthetic. Look at KTM / Motorex with $105 for a single gallon of oil! That being said, the Pro Honda HP4S Full Synthetic Oil is Approved for use in all 2006 or newer motorcycles, ATVs, scooters and PWC. It is a "better oil" as it provides maximum power due to less frictional drag and has better oxidation resistance for better high heat performance. GET THIS, it is also compatible with synthetic blends such as HP4, as well as regular petroleum oils like GN4. There is no need to flush the crankcases before switching to HP4S. That is the low-down Ron. Use either GN4 or HP4S or a mixture of the two for your own Semi-Syn. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
