Can i use GN4 oil for my HONDA 150cc
Jlove - March 15, 2019
Thank you for your inquiry Jlove. Honda GN4 is great motor oil. Please see the owners manual for your Honda 150cc vehicle. Some of the 150's require 10w-30 and others require 10w-40. It is best to stick the weight of oil that you rmotor specifies. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

Perfect Engine Oil for my 2017 Honda Rebel?
Jorge Maciel - November 29, 2018
Thank you for your inquiry Jorge. Please confirm with your owners manual, but I believe it will say Honda recommends 10w-30 in your Rebel. That being said, this Pro Honda GN4 10W-40 4-Stroke Engine Motor Oil world work fine in your 2017 Honda Rebel. The difference between 10W-30 and a 10W-40 is the high temperature viscosity. FYI, a 10W-40 is thicker than a 10W-30 at high temperature. - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

Is this oil suitable for Honda lawn mowers and Honda generators (EU2200i)?
Donald Safron - March 22, 2019
Thank you for your inquiry Donald. According to our records, your EU2200i Honda Generator has an oil requirement of 10W-30 weight conventional mineral engine oil. *** The difference between 10W-30 and a 10W-40 is the high temperature viscosity. Obviously, a 10W-40 is thicker than a 10W-30 at high temperature. ... Using the correct viscosity oil eases starting, reduces friction and slows wear. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

What's the difference between GN-4 1040j and GN4 10w40?
Dave - December 26, 2018
Thank you for your inquiry Dave. There is little difference between difference between GN-4 1040 SJ and GN4 10w40. Most simply, the SJ version was created for Motorcycle applications and is marketed to Just Honda Motorcycles. Here is what Honda says, "Genuine Pro Honda factory GN4 4-Stroke 10W-40 SJ motorcycle oil. This oil is specially formulated for motorcycles and it works well with our vintage wet-clutch Honda's!" *** Now, this is what Honda says about the standard GN4, "The Pro Honda GN4 4-Stroke Oil Highest-quality additive specifically for motorcycle and ATV engines. Provides better shear resistance, viscosity stability and cleanliness to meet the requirements and stresses of a new era of engine technology." I would have to believe that the additive package is a little different, but that would be it... Either would be good for use in all Honda 4-Stroke engines. Is this oil okay to use in other Japanese brand atv's(yamaha, suzuki ) requiring wet clutch safe oil? Thanks.
Kevin - December 25, 2018
Thank you for your inquiry Kevin. Yes, as long as the engine does not require more than SJ lubrication. This Pro Honda GN4 10W-40 oil is great for all 4-Stroke Engine vehicles requiring an SJ rating or less. Yes, this oil is JASO MA meaning it is Wet Clutch compatible. Honda says they set the standard for motorcycle oil when it introduced GN4 way back in 1975. This clam was made because, "We selected the highest-quality base stocks and created an additive package specifically designed for the unique requirements of motorcycle and ATV engines. Constant testing and development give today’s GN4 even better shear resistance, viscosity stability and cleanliness to meet the requirements and stresses of a new era of engine technology." Yamalube is another highly used oil "across other brands" due to its known quality and value. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
