If you own a 2019 Honda CRF450L you may want to pay close attention to the horn mount on your handlebars because in a recall notice posted on the NHTSA website it's noted that there's a possibility of the horn mount breaking on certain bikes. If the horn mount does fail it's possible that the horn button and its associated wiring could get tangled up in the wheels, cause handling issues, or make it difficult to control the motorcycle.

The recall process is expected to take place starting December 2, 2019 with Honda contacting CRF450L owners and dealers in order to have the situation rectified. Owners will be able to have the horn and horn mount replaced by a Honda dealer free of charge. If you do own one of these motorcycles you can contact Honda or NHTS about the recall. The number for Honda Customer Service is 1-866-784-1870 and the recall reference number is KK4. If you wish to contact NHTSA you can reach them by calling Vehicle Safety Hotline at (888) 327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov.
