MPolaris Off Road today introduced its most capable adventure crossover ever with the all new 64-inch Polaris GENERALâ XP 1000. Available in both two- and four-seat models with 100 horsepower, a wider stance and more ground clearance, the new GENERAL XP delivers unstoppable performance and unrivaled versatility to create an unforgettable experience. The GENERAL XP 1000 lineup is a redesigned, reengineered machine built for outdoor adventure, balancing performance and workability, while delivering extreme comfort for all-day riding.

"As the industry leader, we are relentlessly committed to introducing machines that exceed our customers' expectations and advance the industry," said Chris Musso, President of Polaris Off Road. "The all-new GENERAL XP 1000 lineup provides the capabilities our customers seek in the crossover side-by-side segment. These machines are the most capable GENERAL's we have ever built and are sure to deliver an elevated rider experience."

Unstoppable Performance

The GENERAL XP 1000 lineup is designed to increase capability to deliver unstoppable performance. Every GENERAL XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 is outfitted with more aggressive styling that distributes 100 horsepower to its 30-inch Pro Armor Crawler tires, while offering 13.5-inch class-leading ground clearance to negotiate even the toughest terrain. Improved long-travel suspension delivers a smoother, faster ride, enabling the GENERAL XP 1000 and GENERAL XP 4 1000 to conquer any trail with the ultimate level of comfort. These machines are also fitted with high clearance A-arms, the Polaris Pro HD 4,500-lb winch and the Sport Low-Profile Bumper.

Unrivaled Versatility

The GENERAL XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 deliver the ultimate combination of comfort and capability, even on the longest of journeys. The 64-inch, one-piece chassis improves strength without compromising agility and premium Walker Evans Velocity Shocks deliver higher resistance to bottoming out - all to give customers more control and a much smoother ride.

New class-leading suspension sports 13.5 inches of ground clearance and 14 inches of equal front- and rear-wheel travel. The GENERAL XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 are equipped with new long-distance LED headlights that draw less power but provide an even brighter view of the trail ahead. Furthermore, the machines are outfitted with redesigned, high-coverage fender flares to block debris and mud from riders, while adding a flare of style to the body. The new machines maintain the same bolstered, color-matching bucket seats.

Unforgettable Experience

GENERAL is the no-compromise breed of side-by-sides and the GENERAL XP 1000 lineup holds true, while taking the experience of any adventure to the next level. The new machines are factory-installed with Stage 1 Audio by Rockford Fosgate, the leader in aftermarket premium audio systems.

The GENERAL XP 1000 lineup has a 1,500-lb haul and towing capacity through its two-inch receiver. The in-cab experience delivers a comfortable 23L of storage to store rider gear. Located in the center divider, center console and glove box, each storage compartment was designed to be easily accessed throughout the cab. GENERAL XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 also feature a rearview mirror, a durable Sport Roof for comfort and full half doors for superior rider protection.

RIDE COMMAND Factory Package

The new GENERAL XP 1000 is also available with the RIDE COMMAND Factory Choice package to deliver the best infotainment system in off-road. With a 7-inch, glove-touch display, the RIDE COMMAND package comes standard with Rockford Fosgate Stage 4 Audio, the industry's first tuned and factory-installed 400W stage 4 system with 4 speakers and subwoofer kit.

The GENERAL XP 1000 lineup is available in all-new Matte Navy Blue and a Glossy Stealth Grey starting at $22,999, while the GENERAL XP 4 1000 begins at $24,999. The GENERAL XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 machines will begin shipping to Polaris dealers in October, in sync with key off-road riding seasons.
