Kawasaki announced the newest model to its 2016 lineup, the
world-class power and championship-proven new Kawasaki Ninja
ZX-10R super sport motorcycle. Bred for the racetrack with
Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) expertise, the 2016 Kawasaki Ninja
ZX-10R brings innovative performance the next level with a new
engine, chassis, state-of-the-art electronics package and much
more.
- New: track-focused 998cc, inline four-cylinder engine updated
to deliver more peak power and stronger low-mid range power
- New: Brembo® front brake system
featuring high-spec M50 monobloc calipers, larger 330mm discs,
specially tuned radial-pump master cylinder
- New: WSB-developed Balance Free Front Fork is exclusive to the
Ninja ZX-10R and provides superb damping response
- New: Bosch Inertia Measurement Unit (IMU) measures on 5 degrees
of axis and together with the ECU, programmed with Kawasaki
proprietary logic, measures a 6th axis for precise chassis
orientation awareness bringing the Kawasaki integrated suite of
electronics to the next level
"Despite winning the 2015 World Superbike championship in dominant
fashion with Jonathan Rea, and the 2013 title before that with
Rea's teammate Tom Sykes, Kawasaki isn't resting on its laurels
when it comes to its aging Ninja ZX-10R platform and today
announced its successor in the 2016 Ninja ZX-10R", according to
Motorcycle.com.
"About the only thing carried over from the previous model is the
engine's bore/stroke; five-axis IMU just part of a full complement
of racing-derived electronics", according to Sportrider.com
The new 2016 sportbike
motorcycle will be available at Chaparral Motorsports.
