AMA Preps For Vintage Motorcycle Days Celebration

Fans of vintage motorcycles know that each summer brings a special event designed to thrill bike lovers. The annual AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days celebration honors all things motorsports, showing off a selection of bikes, racing paraphernalia and motorcycle accessories from years past.

The 2013 BikeBandit.com AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, scheduled for July 19 to 21, will light up the land in Lexington, Ohio, with a range of classic bikes and famous riders. This year, the beloved brand Husqvarna also plans on having a major presence at the festival.

Iconic motorsports rider Dick Burleson will serve as the grand marshal of the event. Burleson, who won eight consecutive National Enduro titles in the 1970s and '80s, is set to be the star of the July festival - along with the Husqvarna bikes he once raced on, of course.

"It will be a blast to share memories of winning titles on Husqvarnas with fellow riders, fans of motorcycling and supporters of the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame," said Burleson. "Off-road motorcycle technology has come a long way, but the sport is still about the thrills of pushing your limits on the track while enjoying time with friends off it - that never changes."
