Some riders may be hesitant to wear motorcycle helmets on the road
because the gear limits their field of vision, but a new
development from Reevu is changing that. The manufacturer recently
introduced a new helmet, the RV MSX1, which comes equipped with a
rear view imaging system.
According to Slash Gear, the helmet's signature is an
integrated optical device that allows riders to view what's going
on behind them. Instead of a camera, the safety accessory utilizes
a series of reflective surfaces - all coated on bulletproof
material designed not to shatter in the event of an accident -
which can be adjusted to allow motorcyclists to see everything
going on around them.
The helmet is currently available as a full face model that builds
off Reevu's long-standing tradition of creating innovative
motorcycle gear.
"During soft market conditions, business success relies heavily on
innovation [and] product developments that can excite the market,"
said Graham Steele, Reevu's marketing director. "Reevu's motorbike
helmet range are most certainly delivering on that front - it's
like having all of the spades and just waiting to play your hand
one card at a time."
