Big Sky Race Grows In Popularity

The Kenda Big Sky Cross Country dirt bike race is happening in
Montana this weekend from August 25-26. Held on the ski slopes of
the Big Sky Resort, the event is expected to build upon its past
success. Last year's event saw 20 states and multiple Canadian
provinces represented in the scramble format race.
Kenda, one of
the leading sellers of dirt bike tires, is
sponsoring this year's race. Their support increased the pro purse
to $10,000, which in turn attracted the largest pro lineup since
the race's inception in 2009.
"I made the trip out to Montana last year and had a great time on
and off the race trail," said professional rider Jason Raines. "The
new 10k pro purse combined with the amazing location made it too
good to pass up."
Raines will be just one in a field of over 25 off-road racing
professionals. Youth races for novice riders will run on a
shortened track during the first day of competition, while the
second day will feature the pros and experts. In addition to the
events, an autograph session and award ceremony will round out the
weekend.
