RC Components claims 20 percent power boost with accessories

Want a little boost in horsepower? You don't necessarily have to go out and buy a new bike. Experienced riders know that with the right aftermarket motorcycle parts and accessories, it's possible to see marked increases in performance without shelling out for an expensive new motorcycle.

RC Components is perhaps best known as the maker of custom chrome wheels, a popular addition for many models. However, the company also makes a number of other accessories designed to address the performance aspects of a bike.

The RC Components fuel management system (also called the RCX-Celerator) utilizes a closed loop design to improve upon the manufacturer's factory fuel-to-air ratio. The company claims that no downloads or reprogramming of the electronic control unit is required - just plug in and go.

A nice compliment to the fuel management system is the Airstrike High-Velocity Air Cleaner. These cleaners come with a faceplate designed to match the company's line of signature wheels. Inside is the cleaner and a high-performance K&N air filter, designed to increase the flow of air to the engine and thus boost performance

Finally, the company offers a range of aftermarket exhaust pipes that look and sound great while also providing a marginal increase in power.

When all three parts are used together, the company claims at least a 20 percent increase in both horsepower and torque.
