In addition, the V Star lineup returns as well, with the 1300
getting a makeover for the model year. The news source reports that
the 1300 has a new handlebar, seat and eye-catching black frame
outlined with more chrome than last year's offering. The 1300 is
joined by a Tourer edition, 950, 950 Tourer, and entries at the 650
and 250 slots.
But the big reveal was the Stryker, a 1304cc V Twin designed to act
as a counterpart to the popular Raider. The Stryker keeps the
Raider's chopper-inspired look while toning down the motor a bit
for enhanced maneuverability. The new model comes in black, blue or
red and Yamaha has announced over 60 motorcycle accessories
available from Star, including custom wheels, windshields,
additional lighting and chrome.
* Fuel economy estimates are
based on US EPA exhaust emission certification data obtained by
Yamaha. Your actual mileage will vary depending on road conditions,
how you ride and maintain your vehicle, accessories, cargo and
operator/passenger weight.
** Wet weight includes the vehicle with all standard equipment and
all fluids, including oil, coolant (as applicable) and a full tank
of fuel. It does not include the weight of options or accessories.
Wet weight is useful in making real-world comparisons with other
models.
