Will this tire work on my 300 wc w in the desert?
Lloyd Moag - October 30, 2018
Thank you for your inquiry Lloyd. Yes, this Motoz Tractionator Desert H/T Hard Terrain tire will work amazingly on your 300 in the desert. Either this tire or the Enduro IT from Motoz. I run the Desert HT on my 450exc and my brother in Arizona runs the Enduro IT. His wears out 2x faster than mine and both provide very similar traction. - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

My 2013 KTM 990R calls for 150/70-18. Tube tire. I see that this tire only goes up to 140/80. Will that work on my bike?
Stan Grosz - September 4, 2018
Thank you for your inquiry Stan. We used to stretch the 140 onto our KTM Adventure bikes, but not any more! We now have the 150 series available which works amazingly on both the Tubed and Tubeless wheels. Here it is:

What would you suggest for a 2017 Husqvarna 701 Enduro. The the stock tk80 was okay but did not hook up so well here in the Arizona desert.
Gerry Foster - February 21, 2019
Thank you for your inquiry Gerry. My brother lives in Surprise and rides the white tanks often on his KTM 300 xcw and is currently using these Motoz Tractionator Desert H/T Hard Terrain tires. He really likes the hook-up and the longevity is remarkable. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

Hello fellas. Do you all have a size that will fit on a KLX300?
Ken - February 11, 2019
Thank you for your inquiry Ken. The Motoz Tractionator Desert H/T in size 110/100-18 should work just fine for you. We have had customers run a Michelin 130/80-18 without issues and Kenda 120/90 x18 and they were fine. Each manufacturers tire size is a bit different. That being said, this MotoZ tire in a 110/100-18 should suite your KLX300 perfectly. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

Will a 130/90R18 fit a 2018 CRF250L Rally. Or should I use the 110/100R18?
Mark - May 23, 2019
Thank you for your inquiry Mark. Some have mounted a 130 on their CRF250L, but it is not recommended. We suggest the 110/100R18 as it is a lighter tire and your bike will spin it easier. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

Torn between Tractionator H/T and Extreme Hybrid for my KTM 690 EnduroR Hard pack dirt and lots of rock hills, CO forest roads Any suggestions?
Ned - June 3, 2019
Thank you for your inquiry Ned. Great question. I have run both on my KTM 450 exc in similar terrains... I would lean toward the Desert HT as it will handle the best in the hardpack and forest roads with no "squirm." The Extreme Hybrid will be best for the Rock Hills but will squirm on the Hard pack. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

I dont see a 120/90-18 listed, the 100 would be a but to narrow, so will the 130-18 work on my 2019 KTM 500 EXC?

KTM 500 carrying luggage and extra fuel for 5000km crossing of Australia mainly off-road. Do I use Adventure or Desert h/t ?
Chris - February 11, 2019
Thank you for your inquiry Chris. Both tires are made in your bikes size... but I would recommend the Motoz Tractionator Desert H/T tire as it is significantly lighter in weight. If you were doing more pavement, I would recommend the Adventure Tire. Your mostly Off-Road 5000km, Desert HT should be the ticket, but will be at the end of it's life span when you finish. The Adventure tire will be about 1/2 spent ;) -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

Saw on the motoz website that the 140/80r 18 is a tall tire, should I go with the 130/80 for a more oem type feel for an 18 Enduro 690r?
Nicholas Wilkerson - July 16, 2019
Thank you for your inquiry Nicholas. Your 2018 KTM Enduro 690r came form the factory with a 140/80-18 rear tire, and that is what size we would recommend you run. The 130 will be 10mm narrower and the sidewall will be 104 mm in height. The 140 will be 140 mm wide and will have a sidewall height of 112mm. That is if the ratios are consistent and correct... the 80 being sidewall height is 80% of the tire width. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

I have a 06 Yamaha XT 225 will the H/T fit and what size should I use?
Greg - November 24, 2019
Thank you for your inquiry Greg. According to our records your 2006 Yamaha XT 225 takes a Front Tire Size: 2.75-21 and a Rear Tire Size: 120/80-18. We would recommend that you stick with these sizes for best performance. As this Desert HT is not made in that size, I would probably run the 110/100-18 as it will be lighter and easy for your bike to spin. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

Is buying a separate tube optional? Do I need a tube at all? What is the benefit of a tube?
thomas hinton - July 3, 2018
Thank you for your inquiry Thomas. If your bike has spoke rims, you will need a tube. I always carry an extra tube with me... in-leiu of patching my existing tubes on the trail. Not my idea of fun. Yes we sell tubes separately. - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

James - January 14, 2019
Thank you for your inquiry James. No, this Motoz Tractionator Desert H/T Hard Terrain Tube Type Rear Tire can not be used on the front of your tw200. Front and rear tires are constructed very differently and a rear tire should not be use on the front and vice versa. - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

If you have a long ride ahead, and you know the conditions will be rough, a Motoz Tractionator motorcycle tire is the right choice. The Tractionator Desert is designed to handle harder terrain, especially hard trails, desert sand with hard pack variations and fast rocky conditions. Its unique patented tread design handles off camber sections to help climb out of ruts and hard braking at extreme lean angles.

  • Made from 100% natural rubber, nothing else provides the same elasticity, reflex and deflection for the best traction
  • Designed for 95% dry and 5% wet, 90% hard and 10% soft terrain conditions
  • Heavy duty case construction with a dense weave ply cord so greater strength and higher ply rating is achieved with less ply layers
  • Constructed with thicker side walls for maximum strength
  • Sidewalls and rim area are specially designed to protect the rim, but also to minimize pinch flats
  • Vertical reinforcement section between the sidewall layers for greater sidewall strength
  • Carcass is protected by a thick layer of rubber under the tread and around the sidewalls to help minimize punctures
  • Rubber cushion zone allows a small amount of flex under the tread blocks to aid reflex traction and reduce chunk off, increasing tire life and acting as a heat sink to help cool the tire in extreme conditions
  • Terrapactor tread block design and placement helps compact, compress or wedge the terrain creating extra traction, drive and lift
  • This unique concept coupled with the use of superior rubber quality works to lessen the impact on the terrain and provide extra traction
  • Crown Radius Section specifically matched to the application, not just a heavier motocross tire
  • Specifically designed for quick fitting and reduced service times
  • Good for long mileage, hard packed desert (like sand over concrete)
  • Excellent absorption and puncture resistance for outback and dirt back roads
  • Known all over the world for being dependable in the toughest conditions - used in desert racing from Morocco to Baja
  • This motorcycle tire is tube type
  • These dirt bike tires are M rated for speeds up to 81 mph
  • DOT approved

Best Big Bike ADV Tire
I am running the Motoz Desert H/T on my 2008 KTM 950 SE. This bike eats tires for breakfast, lol. When I bought it it had a 50/50 street/dirt dual sport tire at about 70% tread depth. It wore well on the street but I chewed it up in the dirt. So I put a 90/10 dirt/street MT21 on and loved it. But it wore super fast on the pavement. So I put the Motoz Tractionator Desert H/T on and I am very impressed. I live in the Pacific Northwest on the Olympic Peninsula. We have a wide variety of terrain here, including rocky Forest Service roads, slimy swamp mud, soft sandy loam river valley trails, gravel pits, rocky hill climbs, muddy hill climbs, awesome water crossings, high mountain roads and trails, snow, rain, hot dry summers (much of the time) and a two and a half hour ride to rocky desert terrain for miles and miles. I also enjoy scenic trips on our small country highways. My preference is aggressive off road riding and this tire delivers! In all but slippery wet terrain this tire excels. And in said wet slippery stuff it can hold its own with skilled throttle, clutch and brake control. It rides awesome on dirt roads! And any hard dry trail, it's a monster. I found it to be comfortable on the highway and it wears very well, even with my heavy handed throttle obsession, lol. On a dry rocky hill climb this tire will not stop, so you better be prepared to control that bike, this tire is taking you to the top! I will be using this tire again for many years to come. And I'll be buying them from Chaparral! They have what I want and shipping is very fast! I highly suggest this tire and Chaparral.
