Beyond My Expectations
My set of Metzler Tourance tires have performed beyond my expectations. I mounted them on my Triumph Tiger 800 XC and they have done everything I have asked them to do. I use the bike for mostly commuting and they look like new after 3500 miles. I occasionally ride trails that consist of grass, gravel, dirt, sandy soil, and fist sized rocks. Rarely have the tires showed a loss of traction. Some spinning on grassy hills has occurred but not enough to lose control. When I finally wear these tires out, I will replace them with Metzler Tourance tires again. I am completely satisfied!

More Street. Less Dirt.
I've driven on these tires about 50,000 miles on a liter size adventure style bike which like these tires was definitely more street oriented then dirt capable. I ride and commute mostly in the low desert area of Southern California so I really haven't experience a lot of different weather conditions, but during the occasional rain, the tires have handled well. Off road I ride the occasional fire roadand loose gravel dirt road the traction is as good as expected for that type of tread pattern (90/10)it will break loose in sections, but definitely these tires were not designed to perform at any level in sand. Hitting patches of sand on the trail is nerve wrecking. On the street the tire handles well I feel confident scraping the pegs in the turns the traction stays true an predictable. I think the tread wear is average,my bike is around 450 lbs dry I ride mostly 1 up and with a small amount of luggage and in average temperatures of 100 degrees and I'm getting about 12-15k out of the rears. I've test driven other models with similar type tire from different manufacturers and I haven't felt that any have been better then what I'm using. The tires were the choose of the OEM I've had real good luck with them this far and I plan to continue to use them.
