Knobbys that Bite
Tire tracks great in dirt, bites in the corners and gets great traction on acceleration. Impressive smooth performance on the street and quiet. Not sure of street performance in hard turn, after all it is a knobby and not for road racing. Very happy with the wear on pavement, can hardly see road wear. This is a very safe feeling tire, I have had the bike at 85 miles per hour and it felt extremely comfortable. The braking on a quick stop, and I mean HARD is fantastic! You would not expect such a aggressive tire with huge knobby's to bite the way it does on the pavement. Great tire, good performance all around.

Surprisingly Capable
I wanted to take my CB500X off pavement, so following a recommendation I ordered a set of TKC 80 tires. Gravel road traction is great. I didn't do hard-core off riding. These tires are surprisingly capable when touring. Traction was predictable in corners. Tar snakes were no longer pucker inducing. There is some vibration, which is pronounced at freeway speeds. Most of my ride time is spent commuting with some weekend road trips.

Perfect Butler BDR Tire
I have the TKC's on front and rear on my BMW F800gs and love them. So far I have seen almost all conditions riding the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route - COBDR - where we experienced hail, rain, rocky terrain, water crossings, dry and dusty trails, loose gravel and, of course plenty of tarmac. The TCK 80's have handled it all with no problems. They definitely wear faster on pavement, but they stay hooked up on everything I have gone through and seem to last well on backroads as long as speeds are kept reasonable. I should get another 2-3k miles out of them before changing to new ones. Also have them (front and rear) on my son's F650gs. They are easy to spoon on and balanced out easily with little extra weight. I have learned that I do not like riding in the rain, even if the bike and tires don't mind.
