Good Balance of Grip Wear and Value
This tire is great! It's got a good balance of grip/wear/and value. It's not a track specific tire, nor is it solely intended for commuting. I've ridden in the mountains & canyons in cold and warm weather and the tire behaved very predictably. The only time it ever got squirrelly was when the road had sand or loose gravel on it, but what tire doesn't. On the freeway the tire was quiet, didn't follow rain grooves, but did get unsettled when lane splitting and the lane surface changed in height. It's no super tour tire as it's compound is softer, but no so to the point you'll be replacing it mid season. Overall this Battlax tire will give you confidence and good road feel without breaking the bank. Even in rain grip is there! So if was replacing the tires on my XSR900 again I would not hesitate to go for the Bridgestone battlax.

I Immediately Felt a Difference
I did my research before purchasing this tire. And was curious on how it performed vs the Michelin's I had on my bike. When I bought it I immediately felt a difference. The grip of the tire is superb. No wobbles during high speeds. What impressed me was cornering. I could really lean over on these tires where as with my other ones I felt like I was restricted. That may have been from over wear of the tires though. I currently picked up a nail on this tire and surprisingly I didn't realize I had a flat until I made it home the next day. Pretty durable piece of rubber. It's patched up now and even now i don't feel like I loss any performance out of it. Unfortunately that does take off a lot of life out of it because I do need to replace it within the next 4000 miles. Had I not pick that needle up I probably would've been able to go another summer with them. Doesn't rain a whole lot where I'm at but i haven't had any issues with hydroplaning or anything like that at all. It gets really hot over here and these tires hold up on the hot roads. No loss in tire pressure when I have a passenger. They did however make my bike feel like it could go on forever when I let off the gas. Engine breaking wasn't as good as before. That maybe a con for some people cause they might have to break a lot more than normal but I don't mind it.

S21 Good fit for my riding style
I chose the Bridgestone S21 because of my previous experience with the S20. They offer great dry weather grip and last pretty long. I predominately put on freeway miles in SoCal, but I also do around town and canyon carving on weekends. I have used the Michelin Pilot Road 4 in the past, and while they offer superior wet performance, they didn't quite feel sporting enough in the dry. And let's face it, I spend more time in the dry than the wet in SoCal! I currently ride a Honda CB 1000R naked bike, and the Bridgestone S21 seems to be a good fit for my bike and riding style. I might try another brand eventually, but for now, I'll stick with the S21's!
