Actor Dax Shepard To Race A Polaris RZR At The UTV World Championship

While you may know him for his acting, what many people may not know is that actor Dax Shepard is a lifelong automotive enthusiast, motorcycle rider, and a huge fan of Polaris' RZR models. This weekend Shepard will get to put his UTV driving skills to the test as he jumps behind the wheel of the RZR Star Car during this weekend's UTV World Championship in Laughlin, Nevada.

While this will be his first time ever racing in an off road UTV event, Shepard has had plenty of experience piloting a RZR across treacherous terrain, having owned multiple vehicles over the years. "I've owned Polaris RZRs since they first came out with the 800. With each iteration I've been blown away by the improvements. Every time I think they can't get any better, they do. And now I get to race the RZR Star Car in Laughlin, which has to be the apex of my RZR love affair!" Shepard was quoted as saying.

Established last year as a partnership between Polaris and veteran racer/radio host, Jim Beaver, The RZR Star Car program provides an opportunity for celebrities to test their mettle behind the wheel of a fully customized, race-oriented 2018 Polaris RZR XP4 Turbo in a high pressure competition setting. The pressure will definitely be on Shepard as this weekend's race is one of the toughest events in the series.
