2018 Honda Gold Wing Tour Airbag Automatic DCT

43 years after the first GL model hit the road Honda has backed up the legendary touring bike by introducing a completely refreshed model that not only sports a ton of new features, but is one of the most technologically advanced and luxurious motorcycles on the market. Redesigned from the ground up for 2018, this Goldwing model hits the road more than 80 pounds lighter with an innovative double wishbone front suspension, automatic 7-speed DCT transmission, and a more powerful and fuel efficient 1833cc horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine. Having already established itself as one of the ultimate long distance touring motorcycle, things get even better for the iconic Wing in 2018 with features like throttle-by-wire with four ride modes ; Tour, Sport, Econ and Rain. There is also Honda's Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for improved rear wheel traction, Hill Start Assist (HSA), and a forward and reverse walking mode for precarious situations. The electronic accoutrements continue with an electrically adjustable windscreen a smart key system, Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth connectivity, and airbag deployment for impact protection.

Smart Key

Smart key activates the motorcycle's systems, can lock or unlock the ignition and handlebar lock, and opens the panniers and top box all by remote.

Smart Display

The centerpiece of the cockpit is the 7-inch, full-color, TFT LCD which provides infotainment (Apple CarPlay) navigation, and manages displays HSTC and suspension adjustments as well as tire pressure.

Suspension

The double-wishbone front-suspension system reduces friction and enhances agility as well as changes the path the wheel travels through the suspension stroke for improved handling.

Forward & Reverse

The new Gold Wing's DCT features a 1.1mph forward Walking Mode with reverse of 10.7mph, operated instantly from a +/- switch on the left handlebar.
