If you like Kawasaki's Versys line but feel that the 1000 and 650 models were just too much bike or too expensive, the brand new X 300 should fit right into your lane. Nearly 100 pounds lighter than its 650cc big brother, the new X 300 is has a torquey 296cc twin-cylinder engine borrowed from the Ninja line. Looks-wise the new Versys appears to have been influenced by Kawi's popular KLR 650. The rear suspension on the X 300 is radically different with a hidden Uni-Trak rear shock as opposed to the Verys 650's offset laydown shock. Light weight and spunky, the X 300 is ready for long distance highway touring, agile city maneuvering, and winding backroad excursions.
