Yamaha Factory Motocrosser Cooper Webb To Make His 450MX Debut This Saturday
Cypress, CA -
May 18, 2017 - The 2017
AMA Pro Motocross Championship begins this weekend with Round 1 at
the Hangtown MX Classic in Sacramento, CA, and Monster
Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral/Yamaha Financial Services/Yamaha
Factory Racing Team rider Cooper Webb will make his 450MX debut
aboard his #2 Yamaha
YZ450F.
Cooper, who was last year's 250MX Champion, is the top
incoming rookie to the 450MX class. The 21-year-old rider from
Newport, NC, has had success in his limited appearances on the
YZ450F. He notched 2-3 moto finishes at the MXGP at Glen Helen
Raceway in 2015.
"I'm very eager to get this outdoor season kicked off at Hangtown,"
Cooper said. "It kind of feels like Anaheim 1 all over again. No
one really knows where they stand until the gate drops. The slate
is wiped clean, and we have a whole new series in which to turn our
season around. I've been preparing for a while now, and I feel
great riding outdoors on my Yamaha
YZ450F, so I can't wait til Saturday!"
