Yamaha Issues Recall For Certain 2015-2016 Yamaha YZF-R3 Motorcycles

Yamaha has issued recall
#990112 for certain 2015-2016 YZF-R3 models due to the potential
for engine vibration causing the fuel tank mounting bracket to
contact the fuel tank, which could result in the tank leaking fuel,
posing the risk of a fire.
The recall affects
Yamaha R3 motorcycles that fall in the Vehicle Identification
Number (VIN) range of MH3RH06Y3FK001316 and through
MH3RH06Y8GK015360, (this is non-sequential).
The remedy is for Yamaha
dealers to replace the gas tank brackets and and replace the gas
tank if deemed necessary.
