2017 Yamaha YXZ1000R Arriving At Dealers; New Kodiak 700 SE Announced

Yamaha Motor Corp., USA, today announces additional models and accessories for their 2017 model year lineup. The 2017 Yamaha YXZ1000R pure sport Side-by-Side (SxS), along with an all-new Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing (GYTR) torque assist gear kit for the YXZ1000R, will be available in dealerships this month. A new Special Edition (SE) Tactical Black Kodiak 700 ATV will also be available starting in October for the fall riding season.

"A year after its world debut last September, the YXZ1000R is still the most exciting pure sport Side-by-Side featuring a three cylinder, 998cc engine and fully manual transmission," said Mike Martinez, Yamaha's vice president of RV operations. "While Yamaha is building on the industry-changing YXZ platform with new variations, such as the Sport Shift model, and new accessories like the GYTR torque assist gear kit, we're also continuing to expand our ATV line, most recently with the new Special Edition Kodiak 700 in Tactical Black."

2017 YXZ1000R - The World's First Pure Sport SxS for the High Performance Off-Road Enthusiast

The 2017 YXZ1000R was introduced in June, and today Yamaha is announcing these models will be in dealerships this month. The Team Yamaha Blue / White model now comes with a color-matched blue sun top, colored seat stitching, embroidered seats and race-inspired decals at a $19,999 MSRP. The new YXZ1000R SE in Matte Black features FOX^® 2.5 Podium X2 Shocks^®, painted bodywork, and cast aluminum beadlock wheels at a $21,599 MSRP.

The YXZ1000R is the world's only pure sport SxS, combining the industry's first naturally aspirated three-cylinder 998cc sport engine with the first ever 5-speed sequential shift manual transmission. The YXZ1000R is born of Yamaha's true high-performance DNA -- creating a direct connection to the driver and serving up unmatched power and handling characteristics, resulting in a vehicle perfectly positioned as the definitive choice for the pure sport SxS enthusiast.

GYTR Torque Assist Gear Kit - Enhanced Torque Control for the YXZ1000R Pure Sport Side-by-Side

New to the Yamaha Genuine Parts and Accessories catalogue for the YXZ1000R is the GYTR Torque Assist Gear Kit to aid your YXZ1000R through the most rugged, technical and diverse terrain. This innovative system reduces overall gearing, providing enhanced torque control. The GYTR kit reduces the YXZ1000R's final gearing by 30 percent for balanced close-ratio performance, as well as an additional 40 percent to first gear for ultimate low-speed crawling.

The GYTR Torque Assist Gear Kit includes a CNC-machined OEM transmission case to eliminate the need for grinding, modification or outside machining, an adjustable speedometer calibrator for precise speedometer readings in YXZs with aftermarket tire sizes, and all genuine Yamaha parts and components necessary for installation. The GYTR Torque Assist Gear Kit will be available from authorized Yamaha dealers this month at an MSRP of $999.99.

2017 Kodiak 700 Special Edition - Superior Performance, Comfort and Value

Built for work with a comfortable and compact-feeling chassis, the Kodiak 700 has redefined the mid-size utility ATV category.
