KTM Releases Details On 2017 Mini Motos
The
Supercross season just ended with Red Bull KTM rider Ryan Dungey
securing his third SX Championship title. Now, as we head into the
outdoors series, AKA the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship,
Dungey has his eyes set on a double-double as he looks attain
back-to-back championships in both the SX and MX series.
Winning Combo
The Dungey/KTM team has been a great
combination winning a multitude of races and accolades. Dungey
himself has been an excellent ambassador not only for the KTM brand
but for motocross racing as a whole--just this year he made it onto
the cover of the Wheaties box, the first time ever for a motocross
athlete. Obviously a highly skilled rider, its Dungey's
determination, unwillingness to give up, and his ability to be
extremely competitive yet a true gentleman on and off the track
that makes him a fan favorite. An inspiration for young riders and
a role model that parents can be easily get behind, Dungey's impact
and influence is immeasurable. And with KTM's reputation as a
distinguished brand and quality manufacturer with a focus on
optimal performance and technology, the two make a great pair.
As school is about to get out and the summer riding season is about
to kick off, KTM has announced the first batch of its 2017 models
starting with the small displacement kids dirt bikes. Who knows,
letting your little one toss a leg over one of these motocross
bikes could help ignite their inner Dungey.
2017 KTM 50 SX Mini
Built for the smallest of racers, the 50 SX Mini incorporates much of the technology of the 50 SX with a more friendly power delivery, smaller wheels and a lower seat height. It is a genuine dirt bike that, like its bigger siblings, is produced with top-quality components. This makes the 50 SX Mini the best choice for a young rider's first KTM. The 2-stroke engine delivers steady, controllable power, incorporating an automatic clutch that allows the rider to concentrate on the terrain, not shifting. -A 3-shaft engine design keeps the crankshaft close to the bike's
center of gravity for quick handling along with room for an
optimized reed valve angle for maximum performance
-Bodywork that mimics the full-size 2017 SX-F line that gives the
50 SX mini a slim profile for excellent ergonomics and handling
