With the new 2016 model, Kawasaki will have entered its 35th year
of development on the motocross series. Each year perfecting and
pushing the boundaries of performance and ridability.
The 2016 KX450F leaves its rider more agile than ever before,
without straying from the powerhouse-series KX450F owners have
known and loved for over 30 years. "The Bike That Builds Champions"
has several key areas of improvement that make it supreme to its
predecessors:

response
- Increased peak power
- Decreased exhaust volume - 2 decibels quieter
- Race-team inspired Bridged-Box Bottom piston
- Lower friction fork seals
- 449cc, 5-speed, 4-stroke, 1-cylinder, DOHC, water-cooled system
with a 12:8:1 compression ratio
Frame
- Slimmer, lighter aluminum perimeter frame modeled with a
seamless surface
- Flatter seat makes changing position mid-ride far easier
- Adjustable handlebar and foot pegs for increased rider
comfort
- Far more manageable chassis - 3.1 lb lighter, 6 mm
slimmer
Suspension
- Lighter inner fork tubes, and lower friction fork seals
- Adjustable interior/exterior air pressure chambers
