Yamaha released a teaser video about three weeks ago debuting a new Yamaha side by side out running a Polaris RZR in the desert. Much anticipation has been surrounding the release of the new side by side. The teaser video hints at an engine design that is a three-cylinder design, but CARB documents reveal both the engine size (998cc) and power (112 horsepower) according to ATV.com

The 2016 Yamaha Sport Side by Side SXS UTV name rumors are YXZ SS 1000R or the Banshee 1000 R

CARB document labels the transmission as M5. According to ATV.com, there are five forward gears and it's not a CVT or automatic. Yamaha will have a novel transmission solution for this vehicle, according to the online website.
