Recently Symtec released a recall for their seat heaters installed in ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles. Below is a statement from the company concerning the safety recall:

Due to a manufacturing defect, customers should use the following seat heaters part numbers by Heat Demon/Symtec. If they are installed in an ATV, UTV, or snowmobile a replacement seat heater will be provided by Heat Demon/Symtec. No wiring or switches will need to be replaced, it is just the heater itself that needs replacing. The seat heater does not need to be removed immediately; simply do not use the product when operating the vehicle. The defect does not affect seat heaters installed in motorcycles. The new version will be available in the next few months. Symtec has a list of dealers that purchased the items and the heaters will need to be returned back to Heat Demon/Symtec for replacement.

For more information you can contact the company.
