2016 Aprilia Tuono 1100 V4 RR Makes Strong Impact On Superbike Industry

With
Aprilia
releasing its newest Tuono 1100 V4 and Tuono 1100 V4 RR, the 2016
models are some of the highest performance superbikes on the
market. Aprilia's "naked bikes" are known for their high quality
chassis and the newest version of the Aprilia's Performance Ride
Control (APRC) system.
Both versions have similar engine layouts and cases. Additionally,
each bike has comparable fairing features. However, the new 1100 V4
81 mm bore, which was bumped up from 78 mm in previous models, now
gives these rides increased capacity with a 1,077 cc engine. The
connecting rods and crankshaft are all new on these superbikes and
because of the larger bore, the low to mid-range torque improved
dramatically. This means the superbikes can now reach 175 hp,
compared to the 170 hp on the previous models.
Additional Ponies To Get Riders The Most Pickup Speed

Aprilia claims that the new 8,000 rpm on the bikes increased
the horsepower by nearly 20 over its predecessor. This makes the
mid-range even more power than previous models. The torque output
is at a modest 89 feet-pounds around 9,000 rpm, but the new
straight-flow airbox and variable length intake trumpets only make
the mid-range part of the powerband higher and more powerful.
Those who have been lucky enough to ride the bike have said that
power was not an issue with this superbike on the open road and the
mild mid-range was ideal for riders who might have to constantly
change speeds.
Comfortable Fitting For Superbike Models

The
handlebars are set at a comfortable distance and the gearing is
more efficient than previous models. The new Tuono 1100 V4 has a
sensitive suspension that helps riders get over bumps without too
much force. Additionally, the ride is very user-friendly in the
sense that it is easy to ride for most motorcyclists and is a great
option for those looking to get into the superbike world.
Aprilia uses a new V4-Multimedia Platform (V4-MP), which lets
riders link their smartphone to the bike. It can show real time
telemetry and gives riders the option change the riding setting of
the APRC controls all from the rider's smartphone. The system will
give riders tips on how to increase lap times and everything bit of
information on what the bike is doing on turns and bends.
The six-speed transmission also comes with the Aprilia Quick Shift
electronic system (AQS), which helps riders to get to higher gears
at a faster rate for more initial speed. At a claimed dry weight of
just 406 pounds, this lightweight superbike will give any rider
plenty of pickup and speed to their liking. The 32.5-inch seat
height is ideal for mid-sized riders and the 1100's fuel tank size
is 4.9 gallons.
Riders can purchase the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR in July for
$14,599 and the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory for $16,299, which
will be available in May.
