The success from SpeedMob's Airoh helmets in the North American
market this year has given the company a confidence boost to
increase attention on more sales in the U.S. and Canada,
Motorcycle.com reported.
Many off-road riders are not really familiar with the helmets from
Airoh, but the company certainly looks to change that. As of right
now, Europe is the biggest market for the brand of helmets, but the
recent success in North America drove the company to release its
2015 line of Airoh Aviator 2.1 off-road helmets, the source
reported.
More Colors And Graphics

The company will release four roll-over designs into the
marketplace with new graphics and colors. Additionally, the company
will offer a new "222" Antonio
Cairoli replica helmet, a new Van Horebeek replica design and
the Valor design that will have two different color schemes, the
source reported.
"The first feature pro riders comment on is the exceptionally low
weight of this helmet, as many riders equate 'heft to safety," the
Airoh press release stated. "The proprietary multi-strand Carbon
Kevlar® weave and engineered EPS liner ensures this helmet both
maintains integrity and disperses energy from all angles with
engineered points designed to fracture and absorb impact in worse
case scenarios, much like modern cars have designed crumple zones
to protect their passengers."
The helmet only weights just over 2 pounds, which will create a
more comfortable ride compared to other heavier full-face designs.
According to Championship Helmets, the Airoh Aviator 2.1 is now one
of the lightest pieces of motorcycle equipment available for
purchase.
Multiple Removable Pieces

The helmet comes in three different shell sizes: extra-small,
small-to-medium and large-to-extra-large, the source reported. The
shell is made from carbon and Kevlar composite and has a removable
and washable lining. In the event of an emergency, the piece of
equipment has a quick release system to remove cheek pads while
decreasing any further damage to the rider's neck once it's
removed.
The helmet also includes removable nose protection and an
adjustable peak with two different lengths on the helmet. Also,
riders can remove the dirt sponge located on the chin guard for
cleaning or comfort.
The company has not released a price tag on the new helmets just
yet, but they will likely be in the $430 range like its previous
2014 models, Auto Evolution reported.
Increased Airflow

The airflow of the Airoh Aviator 2.1 helmet allows riders to wear
the helmet for long periods of time on the track or while taking on
dirt trails, the company stated.
"Because the Aviator comes as a very complete package, all helmets
come with top vent 'rain' covers, an extended peak visor, a
GoPro mount and even a
lanyard with helmet tool included in every box," Airoh stated.
The company's main focuses rest on rider comfort and safety in all
conditions. The new helmet may be new to Canadian and American
off-road riders, but the company has existed for 17 years and has
55 world titles to account for in the industry.
