Laconia Motorcycle Week Turns 90

The famous Laconia Motorcycle Week will celebrate its 90th anniversary this summer with what should be its best running to date.

Known as America's Original Riding Rally, Laconia is one of New Hampshire's signature motorsports events. The action begins Saturday, June 8 with a memorial ride, a kickoff party, bike building contest and more. All the fun continues through Sunday, June 16, so motorcycle fans have plenty of chances to take part in the rally.

"We are proud to celebrate 90 years strong during this year's rally, and what better way to do so than with all of our motorcycle friends from across the country and beyond," Jennifer Anderson, the rally director, told Ultimate Motorcycling.

The event is moving to a new location this year, so visitors will get to enjoy a lakeside view as they peruse the street bike gear from vendors and take in the live entertainment on site. At the same time, motorsports events will also be happening at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, giving fans round-the-clock action as well as the opportunity to check out the 90th Loudon Classic Superbike race.
