Ty Davis To Be Inducted Into The Hall Of Fame

the motocross world in the 1990s and will now be honored for his
versatile skills by being inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame. His
induction will take place during the Legends Weekend at the Red
Rock Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 16-17.
"If it involved an off-road motorcycle, Ty Davis probably raced it.
Breaking into the pro scene in AMA Supercross, it didn't take long
for this multi-talented racer to start earning No. 1 plates in
other disciplines as well," said Jeffrey V. Heininger, chairman of
board of the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation, which
oversees the Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
Davis learned to ride early under his father's watchful eye.
Although his father is a desert racing enthusiast, there was no
pressure to compete. When he did start racing at age 12, he loved
it. It wasn't long before Davis became a top motocross rider. He
won the Golden State National Championship in the 250cc Pro class
in 1987 and then went on to win two more championships the
following year. His success and skills continued developing from
this point forward.
Davis is joining the ranks of Rod Bush,
Sue Fish,
Jimmy Ellis,
Brian Slark,
and Al Wilcox as a
member of the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class of 2012.
