Wil Hahn To Take Trey Canard's Seat In Supercross

Trey Canard's injury has thrown the Honda supercross team into a bit of a carousel, with riders changing bikes back-and-forth.

When Canard went down with an injury, the team tapped Supercross Lites rider Cole Seeley to fill in. This worked out well, because the Lites East class began when Seeley moved up to the 450cc bikes. However, Seeley had a good position in the Lites West overall standings, as he is currently in third and 15 points behind the leader, Dean Wilson.

Not wishing to ruin Seeley's chances at the Lites West title simply because of Canard's injury, Honda will be moving Seeley back to the Lites class in order to compete for the title. Instead, Canard's seat will be filled by Wil Hahn, a Supercross Lites rider who has been injured for much of the year but is now recovered.

"Wil has shown considerable speed in the last few years in the Lites class, and we believe he has what it takes to run in the Supercross class," said Team Honda Muscle Milk Manager Erik Kehoe. "His focus and determination makes him a good fit for the team. I would like to thank everyone at GEICO Honda and all their sponsors for allowing Wil the opportunity to race a factory Honda in the Supercross class."
