Rocky Mount Harley Owners Prep For Toy Run

Hundreds of bikers will be strapping on their motorcycle helmets on
Saturday in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, as the 25th annual Rocky
Mount Harley-Davidson H.O.G. Chapter holiday charity toy run has
been known to attract participants from far and wide.
To participate in the event, bikers need to either bring an
unwrapped toy or pay a $10 entry fee, reports the Rocky Mount
Telegram. There will also be a raffle with some fabulous prizes - a
$17,000 V-Rod Muscle motorcycle, $500 cash and a pink motorcycle
jacket for ladies, just to name a few.
The money raised by the event will be used by the H.O.G. Chapter to
buy additional toys for families in need before the holiday season.
Last year, the group raised more than $8,000 to spend on toys - not
counting the additional toys donated as entry fees.
Local woman Susie Powell, who says she'll have trouble making ends
meet this holiday season, said that the annual toy run has helped
many needy families in the area over the past few years.
"It is a godsend, a blessing," she told the news source. "I thank
God for them."
