AMA Pro Racing Welcomes Harley-Davidson Insurance As AMA Pro Flat Track Title Sponsor
AMA Pro Racing is proud to announce that Harley-Davidson Insurance
has signed on as title sponsor of the AMA Pro Flat Track
Championship as well as the official insurance of the series. As
part of the sponsorship agreement, Harley-Davidson Insurance will
offer $100,000 in rider bonus awards, which will be paid out to the
top twelve riders in final Grand National Championship
standings.
Beginning with today's opening round of the 2011 AMA Pro Flat Track
season at Daytona International Speedway, the series will be known
as the AMA Pro Harley-Davidson Insurance Flat Track Championship.
To be eligible for bonus awards, each Expert-level rider must
display a Harley-Davidson Insurance logo on his or her riding gear
and on their front number-plate during all series events.
"We're thrilled to welcome Harley-Davidson Insurance as AMA Pro
Flat Track's new title sponsor, and by extension the entire
Harley-Davidson family," said AMA Pro COO and Managing Member David
Atlas. "The company has long played a hugely important role in the
history of this sport, and their investment in our 2011 series
proves they'll continue to do so in its very bright future."
"Harley-Davidson's history with dirt track racing goes deep into
the roots of the sport and we are excited to step up our
involvement though this Harley-Davidson Insurance title
sponsorship," said Steve Piehl, Harley-Davidson Director of
Customer Experience. "We think the loyalty of flat track fans makes
this series the perfect venue for Harley-Davidson Insurance, which
is designed exclusively for Harley riders, to reach a large fan
base of passionate motorcyclists."
In addition to title sponsorship of the series, Harley-Davidson
Motor Company will separately offer $66,000 in contingencies to
Twins riders who compete on Harley-Davidson motorcycles in the
