Suzuki Announces 2011 Racing Programme

Following
a year of racing success on the roads and tracks of the UK, Suzuki
GB PLC has announced its 2011 racing programme - a subsidised
opportunity to make racing more affordable for budding club racers
or British Superbike or Supersport contenders.
With Suzuki's all-new GSX-R600 due to arrive in the UK early for
the forthcoming 2011 season and available on the programme, the
latest Supersport contenders look set to take the racing scene by
storm, completely redesigned and shedding an impressive 9 kilograms
over its predecessor. Featuring Showa Big Piston Forks as standard
and the renowned Brembo Monoblock braking system, the new GSX-R600
really is ready to race.
Also on the programme is Suzuki's established and proven performer,
the GSX-R1000 also dominated the British Superbike Championship,
with more GSX-R1000s in the final shoot-out phase than any other
bike.
Suzuki GB racing director, John Reynolds, commented, "After such a
successful year of racing right across the board in 2010, we're
delighted to offer the competitive GSX-R range once again on the
official racing programme. With the all-new GSX-R600 set to arrive
in the UK early next year, along with the GSX-R750 which have both
undergone complete revisions and significant weight loss, these
models combined with our proven GSX-R1000 offer racers a complete
range with racing pedigree. To appeal to racers in Championships
such as Mini Twins, we are also pleased to offer the sporty naked
Gladius 650 too."
Operational through all authorized Suzuki dealers, interested
parties must be competing in any of the disciplines featured within
BSB or MRO Championships. All other disciplines will be judged on a
case by case basis.
