Bombardier Announces Can-Am Commander Lineup

Some riders prefer the space and
stability offered by side-by-side vehicles (SSVs) as compared to
ATVs. These machines can go pretty much anywhere that an ATV can
while offering operators a slightly more comfortable ride.
Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) recently announced a new
lineup of SSVs - the Can-Am Commander. The entire Commander line
has the choice between two power options: the Rotax 800 or 1000
V-Twin EFIs. The company claims that these engines give the
vehicles the most power and best fuel economy in the industry.
Riders also have the choice between various trim levels: the XT
package on the 800 and 1000 and the X package on the 1000. The XT
package adds a number of off-roading conveniences like mudguards
and heavy-duty bumpers, while the X package comes with the top
shocks that the company offers for true off-roading
performance.
The models also sport a number of safety options, like a rollover
protection system, anti-dive design and intelligent throttle
control. Creature comforts include a dual-level cargo box and the
most fuel and cockpit storage in its class.
The company says that a number of their existing ATV accessories
will also work with the Commander for riders who want to have a
machine all their own.
